What is Coronavirus?

As per World Health Organization (WHO), Coronaviruses are a family of viruses which causes illness ranging from common cold to severe acute respiratory syndrome. Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.

What is the current situation?

As per the current status, Coronavirus has killed 494 people worldwide so far while there are more than 24,600 people affected. As the virus started from China, most of the cases are only in China but the infected count in different countries has started spreading which is cause of distress. To ensure no further spreading of the virus, China is taking possible measures by locking down certain affected areas. As of now the virus still doesn’t have any cure.

What are the precautions?

As virus spreads mostly by sneezing or coughing of the infected people, here are few precautions we all should take to stay safe.

Wash hands

Wash your hands regularly with a soap or sanitizer to keep away the infection. Especially if you are in contact with public objects like metro, mall etc or if you sneeze of cough.

Wear a mark

To maintain a respiratory hygiene, cover your mouth and nose with the face mask when you are outside in a public place. Also, ensure to use a tissue every time you sneeze or cough and put the tissue in a closed bin instantly.

Seek medical care

If you feel any of the symptoms of coronavirus, for safety of your and of others around you, instantly consult to the doctor and get yourself inspected.

Since there is no cure for the virus, it is far more important to be careful and take all necessary precautions. However, the best way to stay safe is to build a strong immunity. So, make sure you drink lots of water, eat healthy food, consume tons of vitamin C and avoid too much of outside food.
